Archie Falconer
IYSF are delighted for Archie Falconer one of our Scholar athletes who has had an amazing year of rugby having successfully made U16 Caley regional team last summer 2018. Archie then gained selection onto the U16 Glasgow Warrior’s squad in Autumn and selected for U16 Scotland Blues.
Archie was then selected for the U17 Scotland squad who travelled to Valladolid in Spain for two weeks training at the beginning of July 2019 which was an incredible experience and was the icing on the cake to end Archie's U16 year.
Archie has since gone on to be selected for the U17 Caley regional program in the summer 2019 and also been selected for the U18 Glasgow Warrior program.
Archie's highlight of the year came a couple of weeks ago when turning 16 he was offered a stage one contract with the SRU. This means Archie will continue to work hard at both rugby and education through 5th and 6th year in school and with ongoing support from the SRU and Sport Scotland Archie will relocate to the central belt all being well Summer 2021 to commence his journey to professional rugby.
